2018 Mavic Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL Tubular Wheel Pair

Season:2018

Brand:Mavic

Code:P8282130

This tubular version of the Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL is the lightest ever member of the Ksyrium family, at just 1190g. Which makes it the best wheel for the fight against gravity on those long climbs – saving power and making you faster in the long run. Our lightest ever Ksyrium We created our lightest ever rims using groundbreaking finite element simulation software. Which means, despite their generous width of 23mm they weigh in at just 320g. Low rim weight means lower inertia, thus better dynamics and handling for fast acceleration, agile descents and instant deceleration. This extreme low weight is delivered by our light double-butted stainless steel spokes and the lightest hub ever produced at Mavic, featuring our new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system. But designing the best climbing wheel is about more than just low weight. There are four other key elements:High lateral stiffnessThanks to the 24 rear spokes and the Isopulse lacing that makes for better spoke tension balance and higher stability, the Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL T delivers plenty of lateral stiffness, while keeping vertical compliance at its best for great overall comfort on long rides and great tire traction on rough roads. Best-in-class braking efficiency At some point on a mountain climb, you’ll need to fly back down to the valley. So we’ve focused on achieving short braking distances in dry or wet conditions. Our exclusive TgMax technology uses heat treatment and surface preparation to deliver this with wet stopping distance 50% shorter than the closest competitor. Total reliability You may be pushing your own limits, but you won’t get anywhere near the wheel’s limit. Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL are sturdy, with biffy axles and bearings and solid spokes and rims. Their low weight doesn’t limit their ability to meet our high standards of toughness and reliability. Yksion Pro Tubular tires Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL T comes with our high-end Yksion Pro Tubular. Made of a supple 220 TPI casing, these tires have a tubeless construction that delivers a super low rolling efficiency and a great ride quality at an impressive weight of just 270g in a generous 25mm section. The front tire gets our Griplink tread pattern that’s designed to move water away when cornering for a safe grip in all conditions. The rear tire offers our Powerlink design that limits the pressure on the ground for minimum rolling resistance, while moving water quickly away for great traction in wet conditions.
