The Hyde Race is Cube's solution to the very specific demands of getting rapidly from A to B in an urban environment. Light, quick and comfortable, it's the city bike of choice for discerning riders. From the state-of-the-art 8 speed Alfine hub to fast-rolling Schwalbe tyres and lightweight frame, the Hyde Race is a pure bred urban speed machine.

CUBE's engineers took everything they'd learnt from building fast, lightweight mountain bike frames and put it to good use in the Hyde Race. The frame is built with torsional rigidity - and therefore efficient pedalling - in mind. Double butted tubes were used and an advanced mechanical forming process to put aluminium where it's needed for strength and remove it where possible to save weight. There's a Split&Slide dropout to enable the drive belt to be changed, if needed, and Cube added a quick and easy way to tweak and lock belt tension. And the sleek, lightweight fork performs as good as it looks, giving precise and nimble steering and a surprising degree of comfort on rough city streets.
