Experienced Mechanic – Saltash, Cornwall – Full Time

We are looking for an experienced mechanic to join our knowledgeable and hard working workshop team in Saltash.

Certini Bicycle Company was established in 2001 from the sheer love and passion for all things cycling. Fast forward 20 years and today Certini is now 3 stores strong. Based in Plymouth, Bristol and now Birmingham, operating our own Certini Stores and the Specialized Concept Stores of the South West and the Midlands. We now have a strong, family-based business which is still offering today that very passion and enthusiasm in working with the best products and brands that the cycle industry has to offer.

The Job:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on high end bicycles and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in a timely manner.
• Repair or replace faulty components, such as brakes, motors, or transmissions
• Conduct inspections and test mechanical systems to ensure proper functioning
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed

Skills:

• Proficiency with cycling specific tooling and diagnosis systems
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers

As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our customers bicycles and equipment. Your expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues will be vital in keeping bikes in a rideable condition. We are looking for someone who is skilled with bicycle specific tools and diagnosis equipment, has a solid understanding of mechanical systems, and is able to communicate well. We aim to provide the best service and value constant communication with our customers to keep them in the loop.
