Formulated from a genious combination of advanced aerospace composite optimisation software, the new FACT 12r carbon and newly developed paint finish, the S-Works Tarmac Ultralight is now lighter than 800g, 20% less than its predecessor. The improved Rider-First Engineered Technology further enhances every frame size of the Tarmac along with an S-Works carbon fork with tapered construction to deliver stiffness and compiance where it needs to be, whether on a climb. descent or straight.
As if these weren't improvement enough, the geometry has been adapted from Retul data points and pro rider input to merge a short wheelbase with a responsive front end for intantaneous response and performance power transfer. Optimal compliance has been achieved by altering the seat tube shape, dropping the seatstays and designing a seatpost that builds compliance into the upper 120mm where clamping does not happen.
For reduced rolling resistance with lower pressures, further traction and more comfort, a tyre clearance up to 30mm has been added, translating to a 28mm Turbo Cotton on a Roval CLX50 wheel. To transform the Tarmac into the ultimate race machine, a new fork shape, dropped seatstays with aero tubes, and a d-shaped seatpost and seat tube have been integrated, resulting in more effective aerodynamics. When your race becomes 45 seconds faster over 40km compared to other lightweight bikes, you will notice the impact of these alterations.
No matter your level of riding, the specifications of the Tarmac Ultralight Road Bike will enhance every inch of your ride.
