With Shimano Di2 electronic shifting, changing gear requires only a light button press, allowing the front or rear derailleur to respond quickly and accurately. The familiar STI control layout places the shift buttons in positions similar to Shimano mechanical levers, helping provide an intuitive transition for riders upgrading to electronic shifting.
Supplied as a left and right pair, the ST-R8150 levers support Shimano's advanced Synchro Shift functions and include adjustable lever reach for a personalised fit. Please note that E-Tube wires are not included.
Fast & Precise Shimano Di2 Shifting
Shimano Di2 technology replaces conventional mechanical gear cables with electronic controls, delivering consistent shifting without the effects of cable stretch, corrosion or contamination.
A light press of the tactile shift button is all that is required to initiate a gear change, making operation smooth and effortless even when riding hard or wearing gloves in colder weather.
Full & Semi-Synchronised Shifting
The Ultegra ST-R8150 supports Shimano's programmable Full Synchro Shift and Semi-Synchro Shift functions. Full Synchro Shift can allow a single shifter to control coordinated front and rear derailleur operation, while Semi-Synchro Shift can automatically make a compensating rear shift following a front derailleur change. These settings can be customised to suit individual riding preferences and drivetrain setup.
Familiar Shimano STI Ergonomics
The shift buttons are positioned in locations familiar to riders accustomed to Shimano mechanical STI controls, providing intuitive operation from the hoods and drops.
This ergonomic layout allows quick access to shifting while maintaining a secure and comfortable grip on the handlebars.
Adjustable Lever Reach
Fine reach adjustment enables the position of the brake levers to be tailored to different hand sizes and rider preferences. This helps improve comfort, control and confidence, particularly during longer rides or when braking from the hoods.
