With seven victories at Paris-Roubaix, the Specialized Roubaix Road Bike has proven that smoother means faster. Until now, however, achieving smoothness has often come with compromises. The all-new Roubaix Comp, however, breaks the mould by offering compliance without any trade-offs. It introduces a revolutionary Future Shock 2.0 that provides more control and damping options, along with a new Pavé seatpost that creates the most well-balanced Roubaix yet. With aerodynamics on par with the Tarmac and a Rider-First Engineered™ frame that has shed significant weight, this is not just a comfortable bike, it's a performance machine through and through. Welcome to the new Roubaix.
The Roubaix Comp offers exceptional value, and like its frame, it comes with no compromises. Specialized have equipped it with SRAM's wireless Rival eTap AXS 12-speed groupset for precise shifts and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, along with durable DT R470 Disc wheels, the innovative S-Works Pavé seatpost, 30mm Turbo Pro tyres, and the beloved Power Comp saddle.
The new frame achieves compliance without any compromises, striking a perfect balance between aerodynamics, lightweight construction (thanks to FACT 10r carbon), compliance, and Rider-First Engineering. Born in Specialized's FreeFoil Shape Library and tested in the Win Tunnel, the new Roubaix is even more aerodynamic than the Tarmac SL6. Specialized have ensured optimal stiffness and compliance across all sizes, from 44 to 64cm, using their Rider-First Engineered™ design, which has also resulted in a significant weight reduction. To prepare you for rough terrain, they've made space for 33mm tyres.
In addition to the new frame, Specialized have developed a completely redesigned S-Works Pavé seatpost. It's the first compliant and aerodynamic seatpost, achieving both without any extra weight or complicated mechanisms. Starting with the D-shape design of the Tarmac, Specialized have added more flex to the upper portion and introduced a new drop-clamp design in the frame. This provides ample compliance while maintaining perfect balance with the front-end, ensuring a smooth and stable ride on any road surface.
The Future Shock 2.0 is the result of feedback from Specialized pro riders on the cobbles of Roubaix. It's smoother, faster, and offers more control with a knob located atop the stem. This knob adjusts compression from fully open to stiff, while internally hydraulically damped internals control rebound. Together, these improvements reduce fatigue and increase speed, regardless of the terrain. The new Smooth Boot, top cap, and Future Stem also enhance the aesthetic, providing a seamless transition from the head tube to the stem.
