Developed as part of the latest SRAM T-Type Transmission Drivetrain, the XS-797 cassette uses a full X-SYNC tooth profile, ensuring smooth, precise gear changes even under extreme load. This advanced tooth design improves both inboard and outboard shifting performance, allowing riders to shift aggressively without needing to ease off the pedals, perfect for race starts, sprint sections and high-speed technical terrain.
The compact gearing structure ensures optimal efficiency for downhill racing, helping riders maintain momentum while accelerating quickly between sections. For improved compatibility and wheel performance, the cassette is available in two driver body options:
- XD driver for standard mountain bike hubs
- XD SLIM driver designed for gravity-specific setups, improving spoke bracing angles on 148mm DH rear hubs for increased wheel strength and durability.
