The Castelli Free Aero RC Bib Tights are cool or cold weather all-rounders, designed for maintaining a comfortable temperature, providing some protection from the elements and feeling great against your skin. They're made from soft, warm and stretchy Nano Flex 3G fabric from waist to knee, which is highly breathable. It furthermore keeps out much of the wind and lightly repels rain.
The two areas with different fabric are the lower inner leg, which uses a lighter, even more splashproof Nano Flex material, and the bib straps, constructed with an open weave and narrow coverage for maximum airflow. There's also a small pocket at the foot of the straps, just large enough to hold a gel to keep you going.
The leg endings are simple and low maintenance, being raw cut and stretchy, so that they don't need a zip or grippers that might interfere your shoe covers on a puddle-filled route. Meanwhile, reflective tabs on the back of the legs, both at the ankles and thighs, will help keep you visible when the light fails.
