The Shimano XTR BR-M9120 post mount calliper can be used on the front or rear of compatible mountain bikes with a choice of adapters and rotor sizes. For optimum braking performance, Shimano recommends use with Ice Tech Centre Lock rotors in 160mm, 180mm or 203mm options.
Compatible with Shimano Ice Tech brake pads in resin or sintered compounds, this calliper includes N04C sintered pads with cooling fins for improved heat dissipation and consistent braking performance. Optional aluminium radiation fin pads can further reduce brake surface temperatures for better control on long descents.
