Dropper posts have seen significant advancements in recent years, and FOX is proud to be at the forefront of this innovation. Drawing from over a decade of engineering experience, the new Fox Transfer Mountain Bike Seatpost is smoother, more robust, more tunable, and more serviceable than ever.
With up to 240mm of drop, adjustable travel (in 5mm increments), and a dedicated 34.9mm diameter option, the Transfer reestablishes itself as the leader in dropper posts.
Key Improvements
62% Reduction in Air Loss
By completely redesigning the internals and incorporating a new sealing system, the new Transfer model reduces air loss by 62%. The updated design replaces two dynamic air shaft seals with static seals, lowering overall friction and minimising air loss potential.
6x Increase in Duty Cycle Life
Doubling the oil sealing and adding a wiper has resulted in a sixfold increase in duty cycle life. This means less oil loss, reduced maintenance, longer lifespan, and diminished air loss from dissolved air in the oil.
Top-Mounted Air Chamber
Relocating the air chamber to the top of the post eliminated dynamic air seals and allowed the addition of a Schrader valve for riders to adjust air pressure. Fox Schrader valves feature O-ringed metal caps to prevent leaks.
Less Friction. More Durability. Easier Actuation.
The 2025 Transfer upgrade includes a switch from IGUS bushings to metal-backed Ekonol bushings throughout the internals. These bushings maintain tight tolerances with minimal friction, making actuation easier (less force required to break stiction and lower the post). The Transfer now boasts a 300-hour full-service interval, which riders can perform themselves without special tools or equipment.
