Adventure awaits round the next corner, over the next berm and down the next singletrack. Take to the trails with a sleek looking mountain bike that gives more punch than it looks. The Acid's sleek looks are thanks to its Smooth Welded head tube and seat tube junctions. It incorporates a threaded bottom bracket and internal cable routing for long-lasting service and simple maintenance. There's even a flat disc mount that integrates seamlessly with a kickstand mount, and integrated mounting points for ACID mudguards and carrier. Updated geometry includes a lower top tube and tapered head tube for more confident handling, cables run internally for reduced maintenance, and there's plenty of room to run wide, grippy and comfortable 2.1in tyres. Cube's SizeSplit system has an expanded range too, so however tall you are there'll be an Acid that fits perfectly. As your skills increase, there's also scope to fit a dropper post upgrade.
It's time to reassess how good you think a trail hardtail can be. The Acid's SRAM Eagle 1x12 transmission has the range and performance you need for off-road adventures. A RockShox air-sprung fork was added, so that there's 100mm of smooth, easily adjustable travel on tap, with a remote lockout. 2.1in tyres were chosen for comfort and grip, and hydraulic disc brakes so you're always on top of things. The whole lot is fitted to a sleek, dropper-ready SizeSplit frame.
Your bike should work with you, not against you which is why the Cube Acid features SRAM's wide-ranging and precise shifting Eagle 1x12 Transmission. So, the right gear is always right at your fingertips. With its dropper-ready frame and great components, it's ready for the trails.
Smooth Welding
Smooth Welding isn't easy, but worthwhile things usually aren't. It looks great as one tube seems to almost flow into the other, plus, it helps to minimise load peaks on welded areas for better frame strength and durability.
Internal Cable Routing
Cables connect your handlebar controls to vital components like gears and brakes, but there's no need for them to get in your way. Internal Cable Routing reduces clutter and maintenance by running cables through the frame, keeping them out of the way of dust and water contamination, or damage from abrasion, as well as cleaning up your bike's appearance.
Kickstand Mount
A kickstand can be useful but if it's going to do its job properly, it needs a secure mount. That's why Cube put as much effort into designing the Kickstand Mount for their frames as they do for any other feature. Neat, unobtrusive but exceptionally strong and stable, it's the best way to help keep your CUBE bike upright when you're not riding it.
SIC Mount
Flexibility is important for a bike that's going to slot into your life. That's why, for the Semi Integrated Carrier Mount, Cube designed a system that's unobtrusive when you don't need it and really simple to use when you do. By adding a Semi-Integrated Carrier your CUBE can take on the shopping, your commute, or take you further afield at the weekend.
SizeSplit
The right bike should fit you perfectly which is why Cube created SizeSplit. For shorter riders, the smaller 27.5in wheel standard allows Cube to build frames that fit well while remaining agile and sure-footed. For taller riders, they built a range of sizes around the fast-rolling 29er wheel standard. Whichever one you choose, you can be sure of a fit that makes your bike feel as though it was built just for you.
