This dedicated Wheel-Tire System still combines comfort and reliability with the stiffness and responsiveness you want on the road, but it’s at home on any kind of surface, from smooth paved roads to rugged gravel tracks. And at 1690grams, it’s even at ease on the gigantic mid-west flats or the steepest routes up the mountain. Saving weight wherever possibleThe ISM4D technology (Inter Spoke Milling) removes material from the rim where it’s not needed but keeps it around the spokes, where the tension is applied. This keeps the rim weight at an impressive 420grams, despite the generous 19mm internal width. This wider rim is the secret to the wheel’s versatility, especially when used in conjunction with one of our two tire options: Yksion Elite Guard in 28mmThis is the go-to choice if you’ll be riding poorly maintained paved roads or shorter and smoother gravel sections. It features a bead-to-bead nylon breaker that reinforces its 120TPI casing for extra puncture and side cuts resistance. Its well-balanced rubber compound and specific tread pattern will keep you safe and fast in any weather conditions New Yksion Elite AllroadThis brand new tire in 30mm offers the same cut and puncture protection but adds 10% more air volume for extra comfort and traction. It also has a carefully designed tread pattern that combines excellent rolling efficiency (thanks to a slick rolling tread on top) with great grip when off camber on a dirt road thanks to its progressive design, from file tread to taller side knobs.Yksion Elite Allroad is also tubeless giving you extra traction and extra pinch flat protection but in a very user-friendly package, thanks to its slightly less rigid Kevlar beads instead of the traditional unstretchable carbon beads. Spoke layout and compatibilityKsyrium Elite Allroad Disc is a disc specific wheelset so it has specifically adapted spoke dimensions, count and lacing pattern. The 24 steel spokes front and rear distribute the brake torque efficiently and evenly and it is compatible with both rotor standards, International 6 Bolts and Center Lock. The front hub offers triple compatibility. It comes with 12mm through axles and can convert to quick release or 15mm through axles with optional adapters. The rear wheel is just as versatile, delivered in 12x142, it can convert to regular quick release with optional adapters.The freewheel system is for Shimano/Sram but converts to Campy or Sram XD with optional driver bodies.
