This new carbon road wheel climbs and corners faster with a lighter weight 32mm rim featuring UST Road Tubeless technology and disc-brake-specific engineering.
Fast climbing and snappy acceleration
- Reduced inertia of a lighter weight rim delivers instant acceleration NACA inspired rim shape (32mm deep) minimises aerodynamic drag
- Flat double-butted spokes save weight and improve responsiveness
Laterally stiff for improved power transfer
- Mavic's new Infinity hub platform optimises lacing and spoke tension to improve wheel stability
- Strong hub axle and ID360 freewheel technology for instant acceleration
Improved UST Road delivers more speed, comfort and control in an easy to use tubeless system
- No tubes means less friction, better efficiency and grip, a reduced risk of punctures
- New rim bed shape makes it easier to mount and change tyres
With quick acceleration and a lightweight, efficient feel on the climbs, this newcomer in the Cosmic family takes over the venerable Ksyrium Pro Carbon UST. Carbon rims and disc-brake control gives you an added advantage in the mountains and hills. It features the same rim as the pro-level SLR 32 model, which means superlight full carbon construction for easier climbing and instant acceleration.
The 21mm internal rim width is optimised for 28mm tyres to deliver a smooth, efficient ride on a variety of road surfaces. New refined spokes help make this rim 80g lighter than its predecessor. The new Infinity hub platform adds stiffness, so the wheels feel quick and responsive out of every corner.
Mavic's Road Tubeless system lets you run lower tyre pressure for improved rolling efficiency, a smoother ride quality, and a reduced risk of flats. The new rim bed shape makes it easier than ever to mount and remove tyres. If your typical rides include tough climbs, technical cornering and descents, the Cosmic SL 32 Disc is a fast, easy way to supercharge your road bike.
These wheels are designed, engineered and patented by Mavic in Annecy, France, and are 100% handmade in their European carbon factory.
